We have developed a number of database solutions to meet the needs of our clients; for instance we are developing a web-enabled database to allow vacant homes with adaptations to be matched to people who can best use them.

Clients are fully involved in the development process that often uses "real" data as a prototype.

Our Systems demonstrate an understanding of the need for:

• Ease of use for end-user and administrators
• Interaction and engagement of end-users
• Separation of sensitive or restricted data

Megafast were asked by a consortium including The Housing Corporation, Papworth Trust and Habinteg to produce a distributable database and interface to help Local Authorities plan their accessible housing needs.

We produced a CD ROM containing a self-installing database package. This was designed to take the user by stages through the information gathering process. The populated database could then be analysed and high-level management reports generated automatically.

Result: Local authorities have a tool for planning up to five years in advance, including budgetary analysis.
